Education for Agricultural Cooperatives in South-East Asia

Abstract

Cooperative education is regarded by the Cooperative Movement as of paramount importance in view of the fact that cooperative societies , are democratic bodies owned and controlled by members. It is essential that the members have sufficient knowledge and the capacity to assess the economic activities of cooperative societies and to elect suitable men to the Board of Directors. Similarly, the education of elected Directors and employees is essential for achieving successful operation and development of cooperative societies.
