Abstract: | The most visible effect of the Ministerial conferences among the countries reviewed is the enactment or drafting o f new cooperative laws designed to closely conform with cooperative principles advocated during these conferences. Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines have new cooperative acts enacted just after 1990. Thailand has drafted a new law which remains pending only due to frequent changes in its government, while Singapore cooperative authorities felt that the existing laws are sufficient. |
