ICA Library Catalogue - Part II

Abstract

As a part of its information and advisory services in the field of cooperatives in south-East Asia· the International Cooperative Alliance Regional Office and Education centre for south-East Asia has since 1960, been assembling a specialised library of publications on cooperatives and allied subjects. Under its documentation services, it publishes Annotated Bibliographies, a Documentation Bulletin, and Special Subject Bibliographies an a regular basis. This service has been well received by many. The increasing interest of the cooperative movements of the Region to develop their Library and Documentation services, we have been frequently requested to supply lists of books on Cooperative and Allied Subjects. Similar interest has been shown by cooperative researchers and universities of the Region. Although accession lists are being issued on a regular basis, it was, however, felt that the production of a cumulative catalogue would be of greater use to our members and others. This catalogue contains a complete list of the documents in the ICA Library collected over a period of 16 years (1960-1976). A technical note dealing with the classification indexing etc. also forms a part of this catalogue. It is hoped that it will be useful to persons With diverse interests such as those trying to build up their own libraries or those seeking information on cooperative literature and to the reader looking for specialised information in the field of cooperatives.
